This Code of Conduct identifies the standards of behaviour which is expected of all members of the KTBA.  This Policy is applicable to all players, parents, guardians, managers and coaches, officials, volunteers, directors, officers, committee members, convenors, team managers, administrators and employees involved in KTBA activities and events.

The KTBA is committed to providing an environment in which all individuals are treated with respect. Members and participants of the KTBA shall conduct themselves at all times in a manner consistent with the values of the KTBA, which include fairness, integrity and mutual respect, and the promotion of fair play, sportsmanship, and player development.

Members and participants of the KTBA shall not engage in any activity or behaviour which interferes with a competition, or with any player or team’s preparation for a competition, or which endangers the safety and well being of others.  At all times, KTBA members and participants shall refrain from comments, or behaviours, which are disrespectful, offensive, abusive, racist or sexist.

Specifically, during the course of all KTBA activities and events, members shall avoid behaviour which brings KTBA into disrepute, including but not limited to, the following:

  1. -          Verbal abuse to Players, Managers & Coaches, and Game Officials.
  2. -          Threatening, or pushing, Players, Managers & Coaches, and Game Officials.
  3. -          Consumption of alcoholic beverages, and the use of tobacco or illegal drugs in the ballpark, before, during, or after a game or practice.
  4. -          Disruption of a game by causing arguments or altercations with other Spectators, Players, Managers & Coaches, and Game Officials. 

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action in accordance with the Discipline Policy of the KTBA.  Such action may result in the member losing the privileges which come with membership in the KTBA, including the opportunity to participate in KTBA activities and events, both present and future.
