Big news for Thunder Baseball, our first all‑girls team is coming!
Thunder Baseball – All‑Girls 11U Team Initiative (2027 Season)
Thunder Baseball is excited to announce that we are exploring the creation of an all‑girls
11u team for next season. To gauge interest, we will be offering
free practice sessions in September during our fall rep tryouts.
We will announce the practice dates and coaching staff soon.
When registration opens, players will be able to sign up through
our online rep tryout form.
This team will be open to players born in 2017, 2016, and 2015.
(2015 players are technically 12U, but OBA rules allow girls to play down one age division.)
No experience required. 
New players and returning players are equally welcome,
this is about building opportunities and growing girls’ baseball in Kingston.
Girls may also try out for our co‑ed rep teams if they prefer.
The all‑girls team is an additional pathway, not a replacement.
Our plan for the Thunder 11U Girls team includes:
Playing together for the full season in our 11U House League
Competing in the EOSBA Select Division (co‑ed loop, as no all‑girls loop exists yet)
An EOSBA schedule of at least 8 games plus playdowns
Opportunities to attend tournaments, including all‑girls events where available
If interest continues to grow, Thunder hopes to add all‑girls teams
in additional age groups in future seasons.
We’re excited to take this step forward and create more opportunities
